Long Service Awards
The Awards Ceremony originates from the beginnings of the Show Society. Long Service Awards are open for Nomination by Members of the Society, Individuals and Companies, from within our three counties, whose employees work mainly in the Agricultural and Horticultural industries, and have worked for their same employer, or holding, for Thirty, Forty or Fifty years (Bronze, Silver Medal or Silver Bar)
Medals are engraved with the name of the recipient, and the number of years’ service awarded. Each year the Longest Serving will receive the Long Service Perpetual Cup, they hold the Cup for 12 months, it is engraved with their name and the year awarded.
Medals are presented by the President (or visiting Royal) at the Long Service Awards, part of the Opening Ceremony, on the first day of Royal Three Counties Show. Recipients receive complimentary entry to the show, plus a guest, and they are invited to the President’s Lunch
TCAS staged its first show at the newly purchased Malvern Showground in 1958. HRH Queen Elizabeth, The Queen Mother attended, and presented the Long Service Awards
HRH The Princess Royal presented the Long Service Awards in 2016, when visiting as Patron of the Royal Three Counties Show.
The awards are printed in the Show Catalogue and Commemorative photographs are sent of the presentations. Each year thereafter they can apply for two complimentary ticket to RTCS by contacting the Society. Applications received for 2020, will be carried forward to 2021.
