We are joined by Jules Hudson and Tamsin Westhorpe to talk books. Jules’ latest offering is 'The Escape to the Country Handbook' and Tamsin has a new book 'Diary of a Modern Gardener' which was recently in The Independent’s top 10 lockdown gardening reads.

Jules Hudson
For well over a decade, Jules has become a familiar and popular face on our TV screens. Perhaps best known for hosting Escape to the Country, he’s also been a regular on Countryfile & Countryfile Diaries, and has now joined Helen Skelton in presenting a new series for Channel 5, This Week on the Farm.

His early career as an archaeologist proved to be a springboard into TV production, working for many years behind the scenes on household series such as Time Team and Horizon, as well as a host of military history series, prior to becoming a presenter. A passionate countryman, he spent nearly twenty years living in the Cambrian Mountains of Mid-Wales, where he developed a love of historic building renovation and gardening.

As an author, his first book, Walled Gardens released in 2018, become a best seller, whilst his latest offering, The Escape to the Country Handbook, shares his experience of finding the perfect country home after thirteen years presenting the series. He now lives in Herefordshire with his wife Tania, their son Jack, and Labradors Teddy and Iolo.

Signed copies, including bespoke dedications, of both Walled Gardens and The Escape to the Country Handbook are available at JulesHudson.com, and can be shipped worldwide.
