Food and Drink
With a shedload of the best local produce on offer, the Royal Three Counties Show is a foodie’s dream. Our location at the heart of the three counties means that we’re blessed with an abundance of produce from surrounding farms. It’ll all be ready for you here to sample. And even if you don’t have time to try it all on site, there’ll be plenty that you can take home to try later.
If all that wasn’t enough, you’ll find great produce from further afield in the Food and Drink Marquee next door.
Happerley Food Heaven
For the first time at an agricultural show in the UK, you’ll be able to visit a Happerley Food Heaven. Alongside fun activities for children, this special marquee contains producers who hold the Happerley Transparent mark.
Happerley is a nationwide movement helping consumers discover the journey of their food. All Happerley Transparent accredited businesses have to disclose where all their ingredients are supplier from and provide information on key areas such as their packaging, energy use and stance on animal welfare.
Amongst the Happerley Transparent members who will be exhibiting are Hobbs House Bakery, featured in the hit TV series’ The Fabulous Baker Boys, Cotswold Distillery with their multi-award winning whisky, gin and liqueurs and Droitwich Salt who recently featured on Countryfile. Also exhibiting will be Ethical Additions Coffee from Gloucester, Just Crisps from Staffordshire, Simply Seeds Worcestershire, Cheese Nibbles and What a Pickle from Shropshire.
All Happerley Transparent producers have a unique QR code that you can scan using the Happerley App which gives you all the information you ever wanted to know about the food they produce.
The show is really proud to be showcasing such a major food provenance initiative, so make sure you go along to the Happerley Food Heaven when you’re at the show to learn more about the movement and don’t forget to download the Happerley App from the App Store or Google Play before the show.
